Hi, my name is Sharalyn. I like to say that I am passionate about enjoying the journey we call life and addicted to making a difference in the lives of other. I simply love growth. You see, I haven’t always believed I needed to live with passion and intensity or that I had the power to create the life of my dreams. It would take a series of major life events to spark within me the unshakeable belief that it had to be more to life than what I was experiencing.
I am no stranger to adversity. In fact, I am all too familiar with overcoming the odds. I have had more opportunities than I would care for to turn tragedies into triumphs. Although the tragedies hurt, although they are uncomfortable, I learned some major life lessons in a way. So, I guess I would say in a strange way the adversity was a priceless gift.
My personal story is wrapped with betrayal, heartache, pain, suffering, and loss, all before the age of 30. I used all of that to define myself. I used surviving over 20 major life events that could have rocked me as platforms for me to soar. Those setbacks and stumbling blocks became stepping stones and setups for a life focused on success. Those experiences albeit extremely challenging served as catalysts for me to become intentional in everything I do and that includes living a life by design and not by default. I gained a new lease on life and I want to help as many people as possible do the same. I am now the hero in my own story and I know you can be the hero in yours.
I am obsessed with personal development, achievement, and leadership. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love. It actually drives me and makes me better in other areas as well. It spills over into my relationships.
I have always been goal-oriented. I love the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that comes from setting out to do something and seeing that goal actualize. The feeling you get when you help others achieve their goals or when you help someone overcome an obstacle is invigorating. It has been a feeling that I never want to escape me. It’s probably why I love the movies – a good against all odds story or cheering for the underdog – all I can say is WOW! Spending time with those I love, surprising them, and putting smiles on their faces is why I do what I do. My family and friends provide nourishment to my soul.
I love to travel. The ability to see the world through someone else’s eyes – to indulge in adventure and use those experiences to better me is a pleasure that I adore.
I love sharing good food and trying new restaurants with the loves of my lives (family and friends) because it provides me with the opportunity to sit back, relax, and support someone else’s dream of becoming a chef or opening a restaurant. More importantly, it provides an opportunity to just enjoy the moment with those who matter most. Life has been a powerful teacher for me of not taking anyone or anything for granted.
After overcoming devastating losses and life-changing events I am more committed than ever to living a lifestyle which reflects my values, visions, dreams, and goals; I am here to help you to do the same in your life.
My journey has included serving others as a Leadership Trainer and Consultant, Change Agent and Champion, Business Consultant, Training Leader, Motivational Speaker, Advisor for Fortune 500 and start-up companies receiving bonuses, praise, and accolades for my leadership, guidance, and strategies which contribute to the bottom line. I truly believe that since you only have one life to live you may as well enjoy it.
Enjoy the journey and do your life your way!
